Issue Tracker


I find it rather irritating that all mails from the issue tracker are now sent from "Server". I found the old configuration where the name of the person that made the change was used as sender a lot better. Especially on iPhone and iPad, that name is rather prominent in the list of e-mails.

Is there any particular reason for changing this?



this seems to be fixed in the latest YouTrack build #6013.

Hi Dirk,

This behaviour came with implementation of our new feature - Email per project. It's fixed, fix will be released with next update, I assume next Monday.  Fix will allow you to receive notifications with the name of particular user, except the case when you define this name in Email field. (Administration-> Settings-> Email).

This change has been fixed in the latest update. It actually was not a ver good change. Glad it has been re altered
