war file created as -plain-output
This looks like it has been introduced in IntelliJ 13.1.2 with issue: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-123140.
Is there a way to keep -plain-output from being added to the grails war option? It would be nice to be able to disable this feature.

So, what is the problem? Too much output?
When my war file for grails 1.0.2 is created, it is called -plain-output. If I build it from the command line, then the war is created with the name that I expect. The file that is generated is fine, I just need to rename it.

That is good news. When will the build be available to use? Will it just be an update to IntelliJ?
I don't exactly know when it will be published.
BTW I advise you to consider to upgrade to more recent version of Grails
