"Lock tab" functionality?

Is there a way (like there is the pin tab option) to temporary lock a tab in place fully, so it cannot be closed unless you turn of the option first?
Often I'm working on a specific few files that I need to remain open, but while opening/closing a lot of related files they somehow get closed as well.
Would be a handy thing to have.
