Timeouts on Task server integration

is there any way to increase the timeout before ticketting systems configured via Tools -> Tasks & contexts produce timeout notifications.
e.g. "Cannot connect to http://jira.mango.local"

I typically get three of these notifications whenever I attempt to create a new task. No proxies and the jira server is local (same building, same local network).

Second attempt normally works.
