IntelliJ hanging on start-up

I had updated the IdentifierHighlighter plugin and added the GenerateToString plugin. Both of these are known to work on a co-worker's set-up that is similar.

I get the splash screen, then it stops. I see the following in idea.log

We tried to clear the caches, but it made no difference.

6791? Have you tried upgrading? At least one possible deadlock on startup
has been fixed since that time.
