Absolutely badass! That's the sort of technological audacity that drew me to IDEA in the first place! That demo totally rocks! I say that in spite of having no current need for an AJAX toolkit!
Damn! My exclamation mark key is stuck!
(Hmm, the site says Alex Tkachman personally is the vendor. Unexpected depths from a marketing guy.)
No particular business reasons. It happened occasionally. I was tired after huge ammount of marketing and business development before and during JavaOne. My family was on vacations... I just decided to spend some time to code something funny. But after prototype was done we thought that it could be good feature for Demetra. That's it.

That sounds really incredible :).
AFAIK no other framework/technology was supported so early in IntelliJ (GWT is really early and at most beta, and only a few weeks public).
yeah...... new EAP while we are watching soccer will be awesome
Please, at least #5333 to be able to use GWT from IDEA :)
Most probably next EAP will contain bundled GWT Studio :)

Is there any particular reason for this?
Thanks in advance,
Ahmed.
By GWT do you mean "Google Web Toolkit" <http://code.google.com/webtoolkit/> ?
Yes. See the plug-in here:

Ahmed.
How to use this plugin?
Can you share some example project?

There's a very nice screencast that shows how to use it:

Ahmed.
