Commit Changes Dialog - Comment pre-populated
Hi,
Using the subversion VCS plugin, I see that the comment field is typically pre-populated with a previous message. Is there a way to disable this? I find that it's too easy to commit changes without entering an appropriate comment.
Thanks

No, there's no such option and we don't see much need in it.
Thank you for answering my question.
The motivation is the same as the typical pre-commit hook to insure there is a comment on each commit. If someone gets into the habit of just clicking commit, you may likely see missmatched comments in the repo. Forcing the committer to type each time will more likely yield appropriate comments.
I second that request.
Having the comment field blank forces me (and my colleagues) to think about the comment rather
than blindly (and possibly incorrectly) accepting whatever text there already is.
The option to force a non-empty comment (that IDEA has) is quite useless when the comment is always prepopulated anyway.
