I started playing with it yesterday. It is really a superb implemenation of a UML environment, with excellent usability. It appears though that while it is integrated into idea, the integration is mainly at the user interface level. I still need to play with the live code sync to see if it really useful. eg, Refactorings in the UML diagram have the same impact as idea's refactorings.
I'll post more as I learn more. But I will say the price is very reasonable for its various levels of funtionality. Their community (as evidenced from their forum) is just a fraction of fraction of that of idea's. I guess after working with jetbrains and all the other eap'ers you get quite used to a different level of support and interaction.
Forget MagicDraw, it's a decent UML modelling tool in itself but the integration with IDEA isn't that brilliant and it can run rather sluggishly on some systems.
Eugene and Barry are right to point you in the direction of the Visual Paradigm SDE for IntelliJ IDEA. Although it's still in the early days I think it is easily the best UML integration I've seen with IDEA and has a free unlimited period Community Edition to boot. With a product this good on the market JetBrains don't really need to produce one themselves (unless they want to do better of course!!).
What about Argo Uml? I have only used it briefly, but it seems pretty good. It would be nice to integrate open source products if possible.

They have a free Community edition which is pretty complete, as well as the usual standard/pro/enterprise. It doesn't integrate with IDEA but is pretty good - if a little sluggish at times.
I use TogetherSoft and I find it very good. There is no integration but since "the code is the model and the model the code" every changes are displayed immediately in the other tool - that I like :) But it's expensive :(
I've used together quite a bit in the past. I integrated together with idea via the FileAssociation plugin, so I had decent traversal. Even that minimal integration, the integration was better than VP. But the usability of together leaves more than a bit to be desired (at least at the 5.x versions). Its really quite hard to believe that any of the jebrainers had anything to do with together.

visual-paradigm with IntelliJ IDEA 4.0 #1174. tell me"In order to complete the SDE-IJ,please restart your IntelliJIDEA". when i restart idea, still tell me "In order to complete the SDE-IJ,please restart your IntelliJIDEA".
It is true that the code sync. works only with the professional level tool, that costs 700$?! That's a bit of a high price for PSI parsing... And it's not really an integrated environment without it.
I installed it for 1165 and only had to do the restart once. Then it worked perfectly.

Same here and VP's log says it could not get some version number or so. I checked some UML tools lately (VP, Argo, Poseidon, etc.) and none really pleased me (Poseidon seems to have some serious visual problems with OSX) except the one I have been using a while which is Enterprise Architect (www.sparxsystems.com.au). Sadly it is Windows only which was the reason for me to look for other tools after switching to Mac. But for me the best solution still is Enterprise Architect running in Virtual PC.

There's a "better" version of Argo UML called Poseidon. You can get it from:
http://www.gentleware.com/
They have a free Community edition which is pretty complete, as well as the
usual standard/pro/enterprise. It doesn't integrate with IDEA but is pretty
good - if a little sluggish at times.
