RFE or bug? Tab in column mode should work the same as Tab in regular mode

If you're in regular mode and select 5 lines of code and hit tab, those lines will all be indented according to your indent settings. However, in column mode this does not work. If you select a block and attempt to use tab to indent it, it won't work and will simply insert a tab wherever your curser happened to be when you hit tab.

The main reason for me to ever use column mode is to allign text in a column.
