Debugging php classes on server

Hi,

Having seen the video on debugging both Flex and php (amfphp) on the server, I tried recreating that myself. But I ran into an issue. What if the php files are located one level above public_html? Obviously I can not specify anything in the Web Server Root URL or othe mappings. How can this be done?
