Is there a setting to leave the number of replacements done in the status longer?

When you do a replace in the current file, the number of replacements done flashes very very very briefly on the left side of the status bar. Is there some setting to leave it there longer, like maye until you start typing or choose a menu item? It goes by so fast you can't see it.
