I've installed the released build, but its showing the old icons.
Strangely enough, I can't change them in the shortcuts either. >
I'm on a Windows 2000 box, anyone got any idea whats going on?
Windows caches icons for speed reasons. You see the cached ones. I once installed TweakUI (available on Microsoft website somewhere), which as a "refresh icons" command in the repair tab.
I think you can force a refresh by going into your Display properties | Appearance and picking another scheme. Hit Apply, then pick the scheme you want.

I'll try that one when I get home. Got the same trouble there ...
