Introduce Variable expression selection not on Linux?

I think what you're talking about is the SmartIntroduce plugin...

That sounds like you had the SmartIntroduce plugin installed. It should
be available for the latest EAP build from the Plugins page in the IDE
settings.

That's funny, I didn't know I had installed that plugin on my Windows installation. Is there a Tracker request for that functionality to be added to IDEA? I can't seem to find one and it's a very useful feature.
