Embed Metadata Attribute Update
I am not sure if this has been mentioned but the Embed Matadata Tag for Flex now supports compression attributes like this

Is there a way I can add these msyelf or do I need to wait for an update?

You may configure any custom metadata tags and attributes as described here: http://youtrack.jetbrains.net/issue/IDEA-24778#comment=27-143419
We'll add compression attributes for the next release, I've opened an issue for that: http://youtrack.jetbrains.net/issue/IDEA-53268
