Missing features in 9 Ultimate?
It seems that some functionality has quietly gone missing in IDEA 9 Ultimate (build 93.13). I have a licensed version (running on Mac OS Leopard), and it's missing the following couple of features that I normally use on a daily basis:
1) IDEA server Integration. No icon is present in the status bar, IDEA did not display the Idea Server dialog upon the first login;
2) Spring WebFlow support is missing the visual designer functionality. Clicking on the "Designer" tab in the SWF configuration file editor displays an empty window. Version 8 used to display a graphical view of the webflow. (I am using SWF 2.0.8 with Spring MVC (Spring 3.0), in case that matters.)
I have found no mentioning of these features being dropped or temporarily disabled, not ready for 9, or whatever. Perhaps, after Mother Russia comes back to life after the holidays, someone at JetBrains would care to comment on this?
(Otherwise, I should mention, I love IDEA 9, it is very fast and snappy on my Mac, as well as on a Windows machine, great product as always!)

This is now a plugin that you'll need to install.
Thank you Chris! I didn't realize that. The Idea Server was enabled by default in all EAP builds that I had been using before downloading the final version. Also, the Idea Help states that it is an integral part, and that the option to use the server should be presented in the dialog upon the first log in. Perhaps, the related Help entries should be updated to indicate that it is a plug-in that is not installed by default.
Now, does anyone know what happened to the Webflow Designer tab functionality (e.g. showing a generated flow diagram based on the SWF source XML, etc.)? Is it going to be available in the follow-up builds? Has it been dropped?
I think it is a defect with respect to the webflow designer. I personally dont use it that often but some times I do use it to follow the flow of the flow (lol) I am looking at. I think there is currently a thread going on in the forums about that same topic. It will be fixed in 9.0.1 from the looks of things.
