To play the devil's advocate, I'd like to wonder aloud about the representativity of the non-silent EAP members, compared to the rest of the java developers community. (breathe here)
I think that EAP members, ON AVERAGE - are more geeky/like more playing with toys - can afford to take more risk on their project - have more "free" time
In this small group, there is the non-silent minory: the EAP members that participate in the forum, post request, etc... - they are the only ones to complain/post/suggest - they are - almost - the only ones to vote, and voice their anger - they are the ones who will respond in this thread
Feel free to contradict me, but I think it's important for JetBrains to reach its real target, and not just please us.

I agree, I don't think a vote should be taken. Look what happened last time: AspectJ, which I don't think anyone will use, a GUI designer that most people don't like.
