Default installation directory on Windows
When I install the beta versions of IDEA 4.0, as well as the released
version of 3.0.5, it sets the default installation directory to
C:\Intellij-IDEA-*. The Windows standard is to install an application in a
sub folder in %ProgramFiles% (at least on NT based Windows). Would it be
possible to change this for IDEA 4.0?

I think there is a problem with having spaces in the directory name.

I've changed the installation directory to C:\Program Files\IntelliJ-IDEA-*
for all the beta versions of 4.0 that I've tried (since early December or
so), and I haven't had any problems running IDEA. There might be things I've
not used that will have problems with spaces in the path though, but so far
it looks good :).

I, too, have always found the Idea's default Windows directory an irritation. I always install to c:\Program Files\IntelliJ\Idea which seems to me to be the logical place for it to go to.
I can't honestly believe the Idea development team, with their track record, have problems with spaces in a filename.
