EAP build release period

I like the new EAP build release period. Could the next EAP starts with
the same time between EAP builds?

could we have eap builds released in a regular interval say weekly please
instead of having to download 2 or 3 times in a week to not getting a build at all for a month to a regular relase in a specific interval would be great

cheers,
parthi.

Hey buddy, speak for yourself. I will take as many as they let me have. If
they are coming too fast for you, you can feel free to wait.

Don't interefere with my supply or I will start having withdrawals.

We can always wish... and I am behind you on this.
However according to Eugene B. this is just the way they do aurora pre-release schedule (http://www.intellij.net/forums/thread.jsp?forum=22&thread=62817&message=657685 )

Geez - people are never satified :) Be happy you get them at all. There
really fast now that its mostly just tidyup work, I'm suspecting theres
now a feature freeze and its just bug fixing hence more frequent release
builds.

Hello Tom,

As i know JetBrains on prerelease now. So they make about 6-8 builds everyday. It's becose, no new features will added in Aurora, only bug fixing and feature fixing.

Excuse me, but i try to not agree with you for keeping such speed of development in EAP. Becouse:
1. Hard work is not very good in "general" production
2. Adding new features will increase time for "next build" in any case
3. After every "general" EAP build publishing we must have time to understand "new problems" and report them. I need about of week to understand that is must be improved by my opinion in next EAP.
4. And also trafic safety :)

Thanks!

Please don't slow down the EAP releases. Many of the rapid fire releases are just bug fixes and I want those bug fixes as soon as I can get them, even if it means installing a new EAP every other day for a few days.

allo again,
Well give me a build every day .. but don’t expect me to get to know it in a single day and test it out in a single day .. even though they are bug fixes.. try releasing the same to your clients saying they are bug fixes please upgrade .. Your clients are going to come back to you and say ?t you want us to do install this app everyday and agree with you that they are bug fixes ? are we supposed to just install one build every day or ??

Even if they are supply of donuts if I give 20 to you at one go which one are you going to eat first ??

You may eat 10 but the rest will go to the bin.. this is what I don not want

Just my 2 paise

cheers,
parthi.

Hi,

As i know i can report errors only for last build... Which means that i must
download every time last build then i want to report (by autmatical
reporter) my error (and reproduce it again in last build).

Thanks!
