Service/Daemon Wizard for IJ 9 ?
Do you think that it's in scope for IJ 9 to provide a wizard to package a java process as a windows or linux service/daemon?
In the past I have:
Renamed the JBuilder.exe to app.exe as a program runner and modified the app.exe.options (Similar to idea.exe).
Used the Windows 2003 Resource kit method.
Tried using tomcat.exe.
My favorite was using the 'Java Service Wrapper' (Works for Java or Linux).
I haven't looked at Team City but my guess is that it can run as a service/daemon, so they should have the
process health monitoring/restart check code in house. Even if they only exposed this as a redistributable package then
that might make the basis for a great PlugIn Contest Entry this year.

Hello Rob,
No, I don't think it's in scope for IJ 9. There are existing tools like exe4j
that can handle this task just fine.
A third-party plugin that adds integration with one of such tools can be
a welcome thing indeed.
