Changes UI
Hi
I had a few suggestions for the Changes window in IntelliJ.
I use the changes window every day, as I suspect many developers also do. It would be very nice if it had some minor configuration such as:
1. Remembers the layout positioning. i.e. doesn't reset the branch section width every time.
2. Remembers which branch you have selected.
Those are some pretty easy settings to add.
Another change I would like to see that is a bit more difficult, is adding configuration for the display of changes.
e.g. allow each row to display 2 lines of change text, and/or allow for a regex filter on the text, etc.
I'm sure there are other display configurations I'm not thinking of.
Unfortunately my company uses a stupid change log message pattern that has about 1 line of text at the start of each message. I've tried to get this changed, but it's not going to happen for now (been like this for almost 2 years). Basically the messages in the changes window are useless to me, I need to select each one and hit Ctrl+Q to view its details. With so many changes checked in on a daily basis, this makes scanning through the list for certain changes very time consuming.
A filter/search could also be useful, although this only applies if you know the text in the message.
I haven't seen any plugins that provide this kind of functionality, or am I missing something?
Thanks
