396 Bug fixes!

I did a search for bugs fixed after 977. A very impressive 396!

Are you waiting for an even 400 for the next release?

Keep up the good work!

On the other hand, there are 935 submitted bug reports on
build 977 and higher that have not been fixed.

This means that bugs are being reported faster than they
are being fixed. :)

I think they've been wanting to hand it to us, but they had an issue
with CVS or LVCS or something which was major

Make that 410... I wonder if the next EAP is going to be the code freeze
release!

I don't think that we're there yet. GUI still is under construction. If
I were them I'd like to get more feedback on the changes that they make
right now. Also, they promised better Mac support. I guess they'd like
to hear about that, too (but I guess that would be considered to be a
bug fix).

The only real show stopper is that k_b_ assertion failed thingy that
pops up frequently.

The "k_b_ " assertion seems to be fixed already (deliberately tested on Mac)

Thank you for pointing that out. I already saw that in the tracker. Now
I am eagerly waiting for that build, but hey, that's the way how EAP
works ;)

We are very sorry about such a long delay, but we also cannot afford publishing the build that does not work properly at least for
us...

Well, a short weekly-progress-notice would have kept the masses calm.

Thomas,
are you from the West, or from the East Germany?

That's alright with me. I think that this is what we signed up for. We
knew that the IDE is under development when we signed up for EAP. If the
EAP build doesn't work for me, I can always fire up 3.0.5. Additionally,
it is preferrable to have a stable build than just the next build
available.

But maybe you should think about adding the help back in as soon as the
UI has settled a little bit. That'll give us some time to suggest
improvemnts before the final pre-release rush starts.

Keep up the good work!

That's OK. You job is to continue to produce the best IDE made, and ours is to eagerly anticipate the next EAP release. 8^)
