when i do the open dialog every time i change directories it access the a: drive. I'm pretty sure that is a jre bug, but I think there was also a work around?
I don't think it's a Java bug, because other Java applications using the very same JRE version do not have this bug. On the other hand I did not have the problem on my previous machine with exactly the same Idea version.
Finally I disabled the floppy in the device manager to get a usable file manager dialog. Who needs a floppy anyway?!
I don't know about JRE bug or not. I know that stanrdard Swing JFileChooser work fine for me in my application, and do not try snif my floppy anytime i change directory.
