Is it possible to say "only packages IN my project"? That lists get darn
long... although oddly I found some com.borland.* swing components in one
of our webapps, not sure where it was finding them thou..

I think it planned, becose i can see dummy buttons in tools bar then you
click on Package tab.
on button work, but have dummy icon, second not working yet. But seccond
button, i think, toggle for switching between libraries and sources views.

It will be improved, i guess. See last buttons in Project View toolbar, then
you click on Packages.
Icons are dummy, but tool tip mean that first button is "Show Modules" and
will show packages per modules i guess.
And seccond button - "Show Libraries Content" now do nothing, but i think
this button must enable and disable all other packages...

Yeh - its seems to turn on -some- packages as I see some sun one pop up,
they just dont dissapear :P

I have a different problem. The main class is located in the root
package (is it called so?), but IDEA does not show it. More strange: it
shows other root package classes :/

That's the first thing I noticed, I filed an SCR for it. Hopefuly it's
actually a bug, because I consider it to be. Crossing fingers they will
add it.

Yup, that's what it seemed to do here. It added the name of the main
module into the tree between the root and the packages.

And seccond button - "Show Libraries Content" now do nothing, but i think

That seems to add packages for source folders which contain non-Java
files. For example, I have a resources directory which is in the project
sources but it only contains properties files and other non-Java
resources. When the Show Libraries Content button is clicked, it is
shown as another root under the .ipr node in the Packages view. But the
files don't show because they're not Java source files.

It's a tad confusing...

I also cannot open anything from the package view.
The jump to source option in the context menu is permanently grayed out. However the guy sitting next to me working on the same project has no problems!

I agree.
The behaviour is also buggy, since, in my case, it shows all the packages in the com.* hierarchy (inclded binary-only libraries) but none of the libraries in the org.* hierarchy...
