failing to set up a websphere6 remote server config (any help?)

I am trying (but failing) to set up a run/debug config connected websphere 6.0 as a remote server. When I try "test connection" IDEA simply pops up a dialog saying "Cannot connect." See the screen shots to see what I was trying to do.

The server is running and I connect to it, admin it, add/remove apps etc.
I have turned off my firewall to make sure that is not the culprit.

Can anyone give me some pointers?
