Alt+Enter not working in Linux

Hi,
I'm trying to get IntelliJ6.0 working in Linux. Alt+Enter (code completion) doesn't respond in the Editor. Does anyone know how I can get around this problem?

Configure your desktop environment or Window manager not to "eat"
Alt-Enter. It's probably bound to some action of the DE or WM.
