AFAIK you cannot remove "blue dot column" (as you called it).
As for another icon -- I have no clue what that is. Possibly it's done by some custom plugin that you have installed (e.g Symfony).
I suggest disable all 3rd party (not bundled by default) plugins and re-enable one by one (or other way arround) untill you will not see it anymore.
These are standard icons -- they allow to quickly navigate to the same method in parent & child classes (very handy action).
