Swedish chars (åäö) in file names

Hello

I'm unable to create files with with åäö (or any other spacial chars) in the name. Well I can create them and phpstorm recognize them. But apache don't and ubuntu fs replaces all special chars with ? when I ls the folder.

I've set all encoding in phpstorm to utf-8 (file -> settings -> ide encoding = utf-8, Project encoding utf-8, Default encoding for properties files = utf-8).

Also PhpStorm is using ftp to access the server. In the ftp setting I can't identify any setting that would effect the encoding.

What did I miss?
