In idea settings -> general, you have the option to Ignore files and folders.

Didn't find out how to use wildcards, it ignores * and ? at least.

P.S. it would be nicce if vssver.scc (Visual SourceSafe file) could be added
to default set of entries here.

Wildcards are not supported at the moment, but are planned.
