idea2002 does not start tomcat 5.0.19

i am using idea2002 from EAP and have installed tomcat 5.0.19. it was all okay when at some time idea refused to start the tomcat when running web-app
it compiles, checks the jsps and then instead of showing the window with the output from the tomcat, it does nothing, just nothing happens. I cheched everything, checked it again. just nothing happens. i copied tomcat 5.018, again nothing happens. I installed official idea release 4.0.2 #1179. Again nothing happens. Uninstalled then the idea and the tomcat. then installed all. again nothing happens.
where should i look to fix this?
