Library paths using MS style network names

At the moment, specifying the path to an item in a global library involves going through a dialog where one cannot input a path manually. This is annoying if a MS style network name needs to be used, e.g. //machine/share/rest_of_path. The only way to do this currently is to edit a config file in the IDEA home directory. Can this be added?
