Unable to open form files
Hi,
when I wanted to try the new preview-feature, I realized that I'm unable
to open any .form file generated with builds < 963. IDEA keeps saying
"Form file is invalid" no matter what file I'm trying to open. Is this a bug,
or was that intentional? Either way, is there a possibility to workaround
this by manually editing the files? I'm not feeling like completely redoing
my UI forms... :(

This is a killer.
Before we get a new build, I would appreciate a workaround (manual
patching of the form file).

I felt the same, I just didn't want to call it so. Changing the form file format is,
even though it is EAP, a very bad idea at this stage. This is not like having to
redo a 5 min project configuration, this is killing real work (plus the overhead
of searching for own mistakes and finally reporting it).
I'm curious to see what this is caused by and hope we will get a workaround
(manual editing, xslt transformation, whatever) soon.

This is a SUPER-KILLER: I've just noticed that I can no longer open the
project in 953, to work on the form.
Please,Please,Please, a workaround,a patch, anything.

Hello Alain,
Unfortunaly solution i found work only for once time then you open UI form.
You must open form as XML and kill all "vspacer" components. After this you
may edit FORM in UI designer, but if you add vspacer again, you can't reopen
form in next time.

As a workaround we can suggest to add plugins\uiDesigner\uiDesigner.jar to
the project classpath.

Thanks for the info. But as I use quite a few vspacers, I'll wait a
little, while crossing all my fingers (it's becoming hard to type this
message).
