IDEA vs Eclipse

Hi All,

I was wondering if there is a comprehensive comparison of IDEA
and Eclipse that would be positive for IDEA or one that could be
used to fight IDEA positions. I'm asking for this because I'm filing
some growing pressure to move to Eclipse and I'm not sure if like
it. So this comparison should be very helpful.

Thanks,

One little detail that is present in IntelliJ IDEA is that it is able to
recognize UTF-8, unicode, and local charsets encoded files. Eclipse is too
stupid. It always opens a file with the default encoding of your plateform.
This feature will be only available in the version 3 roadmap of Eclipse. So
it'll take time before it happens.
So if you have to work on a multilingual project, you'd better choose IDEA
;)

Hum... yes :)
In fact, I did not know Eclipse was always opening files with the default
encoding. That's just when I read the 3.0 roadmap that I realized that
reading files with the right encoding was not such a commen feature in other
IDEs.
