Can't install license, PhpStorm quits too quickly

I'm stuck in a bit of a loop.  My eval license has expired, and though I have purchased a license for PhpStorm, I can't install it.  This is OSX 10.8 and PhpStorm 6.

I load the program, and before I can get to help/register, it throws up the expiry dialog with "PhpStorm will now exit."  How do I fix this?  I've already tried removing all of Storm's libraries and the application and reinstalling.

I suggest contacting JetBrains Support department directly: support@jetbrains.com

In meantime you can try this:

  1. Backup and delete (or just rename) all config/cache/index folders for PhpStorm (~/Library/xxxx/WebIde60 : http://devnet.jetbrains.com/docs/DOC-181 )
  2. Launch PhpStorm -- it will re-create default settings
  3. Try to register (it should give you such option)

  4. Restore old config files back -- just do not overwrite phpstorm60.key file (should be in ~/Library/Preferences/WebIde60 folder -- I'm a Windows user, so not 100% sure about exact location)
