PhpStorm locking for a specific project

Hi there ... using PhpStorm for a few months and really liking it. But, a problem cropped up today. It locks when pulling up a specific project now, something I've open many times in the past. I open the project and as soon as I open a file (or if a file is already open), PhpStorm locks, CPU spikes to > 100%, and the program is unusable until I Force Quit. Just started this morning. I tried removing the .idea folder and adding again but still having the problem.

I'm on OSX 10.8.2 and the latest version of PhpStorm

Could you please zip and attach ~/Library/Logs/WebIde5 folder? (number stands for the version you're using)

Thanks for the fast reply ... the file is larger than your upload limit (19.3 MB). One of the thread dump folders is huge. Can I email it somewhere?

Sure, please upload it to the FTP as per http://devnet.jetbrains.com/docs/DOC-192. (and give me the name of the file :))

Thanks

Thanks, looks like you're affected by http://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-21987.
Option 1: File -> Settings -> Editor -> Editor tabs -> turn off "Show directory in editor tabs for non-unique filenames"
Option 2: upgrade to WebStorm 6 EAP (you can have them both on your machine).

Please get back to me to be sure it helps.

Cheers,
Kirill

That option is already off. Any other ideas? I'd rather not update to a beta version, if I can avoid it. Not sure why this would happen all of the sudden?

My bad, really this option is not respected on Mac OS, so there's no workaround except using EAP as we have no plans to release bugfix patches for PhpStorm 5.0.
Next stable version is planned for the middle of March 2013.

So there was no clue in my logs why this would happen all of the sudden after opening this project normally for months? If it helps, it was while editing a JS file (one I've edited before). Can I reset that project somehow?

Also, you linked me to Webstorm 6, not PhpStorm 6, if there is such a thing. What's the PhpStorm version I can use?

Thanks
