The tags you use in the message composition interface use square brackets, not curly braces. And the end marker uses a leading slash (within the brackets): /code

But I have found that sometimes they work and sometimes they're ignored. I haven't been able to see the pattern, if any, in this phenomenon.

This time they worked.

Thanks Randall - that did it. But you're right - sometimes it renders fine, sometimes not. I was not able to discover the pattern, either.
