Finding modified files quickly

Version Control → Local Changes is a useful way to find all modified files. This list is so important for current development I'm wondering if it would be possible to integrate it into dialogues like file navigation (<kbd>Ctrl+Shift+n</kbd>), so that when there are multiple search matches the modified files show up at the top.
