PHP Storm forgets recent project titles

So recently after updating to 2016.2, my 'recent project' list seems to have forgotten all of the titles of all the projects. They're all still there, but it's unusable when every project sits in a folder called 'application'

Not only that, it only displays the directory even after changing the project title, or re-opening the project for which I've set a title already.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
