Caret size (height)
Hello,
After upgrading to PhpStorm 2016.2 from PhpStorm 10, caret height changed.
As you can see its height is way bigger than the line. I've tried changing line height and font size. It is possible to make it in the "middle" of the line, but still it does not look good and I do not want to change text size or line height. I want to make it the size of the text, as it was before upgrade.
I've tried looking at the registry but found only caret width setting, maybe missed something.

What OS are you running? If you change your scheme to Darcula in Settings\Preferences | Editor | Colors & Fonts, does the behavior remain the same?

It is Windows 10.
Yes, changing theme to darcula, it seems to display fine. So is it theme issue? Is it possible to fix it somehow? I am really used to it :)

By the behavior it seems that Line spacing is wrong - try to tweak it for the previous scheme in File | Settings | Editor | Colors & Fonts | Font.
Default value for Darcula is 1.2.
The same value is used for this theme, I've played with this value previously and the caret is always bigger than the text height.
I think I will need to get used to it, or adapt Darcula theme.

What's the line spacing value in File | Settings | Editor | Colors & Fonts | Font for you? Try to lower that value.
It is minimum permisdible - 1.2
