Struggling with New UI themes and syntax colorings and contrasts and distinguishing different things
已回答
I hate to admit this, but I found the “Classic UI” much easier to view and read and use. I do have a unusually high prescription, so maybe that's a factor, but I just found the classic themes/syntax coloring etc to be much easier to work with, as much as I want to be comfortable with the new UI.
I'm not finding anything better than the default theme for the New UI. There's just nothing in there that brings back the clarity of the Classic version.
Frankly I'd rather not use the plugin if I can find good coloring. What are my options?

Vadiru could you please elaborate a bit on what components and colors exactly looked better for you in the Classic UI? It would help a lot if you share a couple of screenshots with problematic areas highlighted, so I can suggest an optimal solution to you. Thank you!
No, I can't elaborate for you or make screenshots, because I don't have the old editor installed anymore. This is silly to ask for all that.
I went through Settings to try to adjust but am unclear on what to do to make things more readable and distinguishable. I'm afraid this will turn into a days-long project.
Please somebody just suggest what the best plan is for making the UI easily readable and with good contrast and distinguishable elements. Right now it's mostly just hideous color combinations (where do they get these bizarre colors from?) and blobby-looking design (lots of text just floating around in empty space like space junk in the orbit). I'm so frustrated I may as call the new look Space Junk Blob Eye

I will be glad to assist with setting up better colors wherever possible if you describe what UI parts are hardly distinguishable for you now.
Otherwise, I can only suggest the following options:
1. If you prefer dark themes, select the Darcula theme in IDE Settings | Appearance & Behavior | Appearance, Theme. This theme is almost the same in the New UI as it was in the classic one.
2. Install the Classic UI or a third-party theme plugin that suits your needs.
