Root CA certificate install on Linux and now phpstorm won't connect to copilot or access internet

I have installed a root CA certificate on my Linux machine as I need it for one of the locations I visit, however after doing this I discovered that phpstorm would no longer connect to github copilot, check for updates etc. Network activity from the mahcine is not otherwise affected. I should add that I had to additionally add this certificate to the java keystore for Netbeans and also to Chrome to allow VS Code to function, so wondered if there was somewhere else I needed to add it for Jetbrains products.

My linux distribution is Slackware but regardless, the cert is installed to /etc/ssl/certs which I believe is most common.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
