New Student Education Application - Banned School Email

Hello JetBrains Support Team,


I’ve recently been accepted to GitHub’s Student Developer Program and am now attempting to access my Developer Program JetBrains benefits. 

However, when I attempt to apply to JetBrains student education, I am told my school’s email domain has been blocked due to untrustworthy persons in the past. This was also confirmed by a staff member that manages the swot GitHub Repo after I had attempted to add my school email domain. 

I was then advised to apply to JetBrains student education by OFFICIAL DOCUMENT. However, the application via OFFICIAL DOCUMENT has been changed solely to connection via GitHub and their Student Developer Pack. As you know, applying through GitHub is a bit of a problem. 

I would appreciate any kind of assistance as to help me get into JetBrains’ Student Education Program please. My student email is **brandon.mercado.264@my.csun.edu**

If you've already signed up for a GitHub Student Developer Pack, please apply for a JetBrains educational license using your GitHub account: go to https://www.jetbrains.com/shop/eform/students and select the "GitHub" tab.

Hey Anna! 

Could you please read the message before responding? I stated in my original post that applying via GitHub is not possible and I have the reasons why. I’ve been very dissatisfied with the help I’ve been receiving at JetBrains so far and I can’t help but feel inclined to give up on using your products. 

The GitHub email is the same as my school email which is why there’s a problem. My school email is blocked because of people at my school in the past which is rendering me unavailable to register via GitHub.

I'm really sorry, I thought that “I am told my school’s email domain has been blocked” is related to the “University email address” option, not the “GitHub” one.

I appreciate the quick response and solution. Please forgive me if my previous message sounded a bit harsh. I’ve been sent on a run around loop trying to figure this issue out and have been getting nowhere. I apologize. And thank you.
