Feature Request: Smooth Caret Movement for PHPStorm

I hope you are doing well. I’d like to request a new feature for PHPStorm: Smooth Caret Movement (similar to what can be found in some modern text editors like VS Code and Sublime Text).

Currently, the caret movement in PHPStorm is instantaneous, which can feel a bit rigid, especially for users accustomed to more fluid text editing experiences. A smooth, animated movement for the caret would improve readability and overall UX, making coding feel more natural and visually appealing.

Would it be possible to introduce an option to enable smooth caret animation in future updates? I believe this would be a valuable addition for many developers looking for a more polished and comfortable coding experience.
