Forward and back button new intellj

i really want to express how much i hate this. every time install the new intellj i have to go though a ton of steps to add these buttons back. Today, i actually drug the back button somewhere doing it and can't find it.
Honestly it feels a touch arrogant to remove those. Just being honest. There is no reason to change this very few people like it that i know of.

Shanepcarr it should be possible to add the mentioned actions quickly using the main toolbar context menu, please see this article for more details. Does it work for you?
You wrote you face this after you install the new intellij - do you mean upgrading the IDE to a newer version or installing another IDE? Do you use any kind of settings sync?
