I disagree. JetBrains is not dying. In fact it is one of the most exciting software companies I am aware of.
They have an extensive suite of software development tools with an amazing degree of control of the environments.
I am particularly impressed with the clever way they have designed their software stacks to allow reuse of features in varying IDEs.
Because the technology is so complex though, they have show extreme care when they make changes because one simple change can effect all their products , and require verification and testing. In my opinion, they are acting like software engineers and not code cowboys. I don't expect them to fix everything immediately, just to prioritize and make progress.
Good for you if it suits your needs. However, there are numerous problems, and JetBrains is experiencing its worst time ever.
Just do your research and you'll find evidence indicating notable quality regressions in the product and in their communication, as well as questionable feature decisions that reveal a disconnect between jetbrains' management and reality. This has led to community frustration and a great fatigue. If you're happy with the tools, that's good, but if you want to discuss it further, please make sure you're informed.
Yes very much dying, don't expect an answer, they don't care about you
