I am trying to troubelshoot the problem with cv2 and my camera crashing, when running many computer vision models !!
This has been going on and off for a few days. I know what you all are going to say, why the old hardware? I am kind of income limited, need to at least, get one project completes with proof of concept “I need a 3d printer, a beagle board or raspberry pi embedded computer” Anyway, I am running some pretty cool code that can detect text and when it does detect it, it can trigger a new def algorithm of my choice.
The problem, I am getting more presistant camera crashes. I had done EVERYTHING run ever command to isolate it, Even ran a Ai engine to create a robust python app to activate every kind of linux troubleshooting app for the camera. I had to have it rewritten three times to make sure it would not get hung up running the same command, receiving the same result.
So now, I am running on a iso, to see what the issue was with the camera. Cheese runs flawlessly for the camera. When I was running mint on the mounted drive, the camera would some times run, some times not with cheese.
Running a Logitech USB camera, About 5 years old. Its VERY important this camera needs to work it is essential for my computer vision ai research work. I don't think it is the camera it self, I think in mint, it could be the issue.
Thanks
James
