Git widget in JetBrains IDE shows all remotes from all modules in multi-root project
In my multi-root project setup within JetBrains IDEs (e.g., IntelliJ IDEA, WebStorm, etc.), the Git widget is used to display only the branches/remotes relevant to the currently selected project/module. However, after a recent update or configuration change, the widget now shows all remotes and branches from every root/module included in the project, regardless of which module is currently active or selected.
This behavior leads to confusion and clutter, especially when working across multiple Git repositories that are unrelated. I would like to restore the previous behaviour, where the Git widget reflects only the Git data from the currently focused or selected project/module.
How can I show only the relevant branches/remotes?
