PHP Storm and WebStorm keeps closing
Dear JetBrains Support Team,
I am writing to report a recurring issue I’ve been experiencing with both PhpStorm and WebStorm. Initially, the problem started with PhpStorm: the application would freeze and close unexpectedly after just a few seconds of usage. I updated to the latest version hoping it would solve the problem, but the issue persisted. I then switched to WebStorm, and encountered the exact same behavior.
Given that I’m running an Intel i9 processor with 96GB of RAM, this performance is highly unexpected. The processor often spikes to 99% usage even when simply switching between files, making it very difficult to work efficiently.
Since the issue is consistent across both IDEs and remains unresolved after updating, I’ve decided to reach out to you for support. I would really appreciate your help in identifying and resolving this problem. I am now using vscode, but makes no sense pay Webstorm if I cannot use it.
