Pycharm 2025.1.1 Jupyter managed server interpreter version

Hello,

In Pycharm 2024.3.5, you can specify the Python interpreter (i.e. local or remote, different versions, etc.), but in 2025.1.1, it appears the managed server always follows the project's interpreter. I don't see any settings to change this.

Are there ways to achieve the old functionality?

Thanks.

Hello, DonneyF ,

This functionality was removed in the latest version to avoid confusion between the settings of a Jupyter interpreter and an assigned project interpreter.

Hi!

Sorry for the confusion.  In addition the the answer above:

>you can specify the Python interpreter (i.e. local or remote, different versions, etc.),

You can still do it by changing the project interpreter in the bottom-right corner.
