How to get "Recent files..." ?
Where/how to access “Recent files” in this state ?
I have to open a new console for the “dot” to show up

In your screenshot, I see an instance of console opened where no connection to a schema has been established. That should not play any role though as Recent Files can always be triggered with a Ctrl + E combo
