Why is the global search window tiny by default + expanding it requires clicking on what seems to be 1 correct pixel. Please improve UX...
I mean this window:
It is way too small to be useful by default. And expanding it requires hitting the bottom right corner with annoying accuracy.
It also resets every once in a while for no apparent reason, so I have to do this again.
Of course this is a small and insignificant issue. But it's really annoying. Annoying enough to make me write here.

You should be able to resize it by dragging the sides as well, are you not able to?

I'm sorry, but your comment has little to do with my comment.
I do not say that it can't be resized. I say that it's bad UX.
And i think i understand now, but to confirm; the picture you sent is actually after you resize it, after which it goes back to being tiny(after some random amount of time)?

to be clear: this is not a bug.
I am making a request for a UX improvement.
The current UX for this window (and all other windows of the same class, f.e. the diff window) has the UX of the early 2000s.
The default size is too small to be useful.
The resize areas are too small to be easily clickable.
You do not have to fix anything here. But if you can, please collect this as feedback and forward it whereever it can be acted upon.

We appreciate the feedback! Could you just confirm which version of the IDE are you using? Some UX problems you mentioned should have been addressed in latest versions.
